What we collect

We don't ask for your name or phone number on this site.

• For a rent estimate: the property address, bedrooms and bathrooms you enter. You don't need to give us your email for an estimate.
• For the full report: your email address. We save it with the property details, the estimate, the area page you started from (if any) and which version of our homepage you saw.
• Your IP address, the number your internet connection uses online. We use it to limit how many estimates and reports one connection can request each day, and we save it with report requests.
• Usage counts, like how many estimates and reports were requested each day. These are totals and don't say who you are.
• Cookies: one small cookie of our own (rr_ab) keeps you on the same version of our homepage while we test which wording works best. The Meta Pixel cookies are explained below.

How we use it

• To give you an estimate and, if you ask, build and email your report.
• To follow up with you about your report or your property.
• To keep the site working and stop spam and abuse.
• To see which ads and pages bring people to the site, and to improve them.

Who helps us run the site

We share information only with these services:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the information above. It also runs the quick bot check on the estimate form (Turnstile), builds the PDF report and gives us page-view counts without using cookies.
• RentCast, our rental data provider, receives the property address, bedrooms and bathrooms you enter so it can return an estimate and nearby rentals. It doesn't receive your email.
• The U.S. Census Bureau's address lookup may receive the property address to place it on the report's neighborhood maps.
• Resend sends our emails. It receives your email address and the report, and it tells us whether the email was opened and which links were clicked.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) runs the Meta Pixel, explained below.
• Google Fonts supplies the fonts on the site, so your browser connects to Google to load them.

We do not sell personal information.

The Meta Pixel and cookies

On cdarentreport.com we use the Meta Pixel (dataset 1666522194887249). It uses cookies so we can measure which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here and improve those ads.

• It records which pages you view. Before it loads, we remove everything from the web address except ad tracking tags (utm_ tags and fbclid).
• It never receives the address, bedrooms, bathrooms or estimate you enter.
• After your report request goes through, it tells Meta a signup happened and sends your email address. The pixel scrambles (hashes) your email in your browser first, so Meta can match the signup to a Facebook or Instagram account without receiving your email as plain text.
• It runs only on our live site, not on test versions.

To limit this, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage how Meta uses your information for ads at facebook.com/adpreferences.

How we contact you

If you request a report, we may email you about it. If you give us your phone number, for example by calling us or through one of our Facebook or Instagram forms, we may call or text you about your request. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.

The report is a one-time email, not a newsletter. To stop emails from us, reply to any of them and ask, or contact us below.
